To compete in the Global Trade Competition 2025, you must:

No prior consulting or trade experience is required! Just bring your creativity, research skills, and teamwork.

Slide 1: Title Page

  • Name of competition and year
  • Name of case company
  • Name of team members
  • Primary contact email address
  • Confirmation that students are currently enrolled in a New State college or university

  • Overview of Ben-Amun’s brand, market, and exporting activities.
  • Why India? Why now? What makes India an attractive market for Ben-Amun?
  • What challenges does Ben-Amun face in entering the Indian market?

Slide 3: Market Analysis & Competitive Landscape

  • Jewelry & fashion trends in India (past 5 years)
  • Who are the most important fashion designers & brands in India that are a good fit for Ben-Amun’s design and look?
  • What are the domestic and international competitors of Ben-Amun in India?

Slide 4: Target Customers & Consumer Insights

  • Who is the target audience for Ben-Amun’s jewelry in India?

Videos & presentations must be submitted by Friday, April 4th, 2025, 11:59 PM EST.

The Five finalists will present their PowerPoint presentation virtually on April 9th from 12:30 PM -1:30 PM. The link will be provided to the finalists shortly before.

What is the Global Trade Competition (GTC)?

The Global Trade Competition is an initiative to challenge students to collaborate with their peers in solving real-life challenges in global trade. It connects students with industry professionals and provides hands-on experience in global trade best practices.

Who can participate in GTC 2025?

.The competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students from in New York State.

Is individual participation allowed?

No, participants must form teams to compete.

How many members can be in a team?

.2 members per team, two undergraduate or 1 undergraduate and 1 graduate student

How many teams wil be in the final?

Five teams present in the final, and the top three are chosen.

Can teams include students from different universities?

Yes, teams can consist of students from different universities within New York State.

What is the competition about?

Teams act as business consultants, advising Ben-Amun on “How to Export Handcrafted Jewelry to India”

What do we need to submit?

Teams must submit a video of themselves explaining their strategy along with their 10-slide presentation

How long is each final presentation?

Each team has 10 minutes for their presentation (Seven-minute presentation + Three-minute Q&A)

How is the competition structured?

The competition consists of three stages:

  1. Registration & Initial submission (March 10 – April 4 11:59PM)
  2. Finals (April 9) – with five teams and the top three are chosen.
  3. Award Ceremony at the World Trade Week Kicoff (May 7 at Baruch College, NYC)​
